The Beach Information System is a creation of the Surfrider Foundation of San Clemente in concert with Earth 911, an Arizona-based group, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. It is designed to provide easy access to water quality test results for beaches in their data base. Information is currently available for San Diego County beaches and similar data for Orange County beaches is expected to be online by summer 2001.
