December 16, 2001 - Rarely seen at Doheny, this uncommon goose is similar in appearance to the Snow Goose but is approximately 25% smaller with a shorter neck and bill. The goose feeds on grasses and grains. The Ross' Goose lays 3 to 5 white eggs in a nest made of moss and grass.
